Intermediate Electrical and Firmware Engineer

We are seeking an Intermediate Electrical and Firmware Engineer for our growing company. Reporting to the Senior Research and Development Engineer, the Intermediate Electrical and Firmware Engineer will apply their strong technical and engineering skills and experience to execute ambitious product launches. In this role, you will be designing and developing electrical sub-systems for cardiovascular device test equipment that will be sold to a global customer base, and will bring safer medical devices to market more quickly.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelors or Master Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of recent, related diverse technical experience in product development.
  • Design for Manufacturability/Test required, and strong mechanical aptitude desired.
  • Theory and practice of Design for Electromagnetic Compliance.
  • Familiarity with common bio-medical technologies (including ultrasonics, optics, lasers, electromagnetics, fluidics, and control systems).
  • Hands on experience soldering and reworking SMT (Surface Mount Technology).
  • Board layout experience required, and Altium software knowledge preferred.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and effective verbal and written communication skills are required.
