Burst Strength
Pressure at which the prothesis bursts.
Test Procedure
The sample is distended by filling the prosthesis directly with fluid at a measured rate of pressure change until bursting of the sample takes place.

- Only possible for devices with low permeability which are able to hold pressure. Otherwise see the Balloon Method of determining burst strength
