ViVitro Real-Time Wear Tester (RWT) extends industry leading line of cardiovascular device testing equipment

February 19, 2013 – (Victoria, B.C.) Responding to the cardiovascular device industry’s demand for testing equipment that can accommodate larger prosthetic heart valves and multiple cardiovascular devices at one time, ViVitro is pleased to announce the availability of the ViVitro Real-Time Wear Tester (RWT). Using the proven power and reliability of the ViVitro SuperPump, the ViVitro RWT promises to become one of the industry’s most sought after pieces of testing equipment for the testing of multiple and larger cardiovascular devices such as heart valve replacements, venal replacements, cardiac patches, and occluder devices.

“We engaged with the leading researchers and developers in the interventional cardiovascular device space to determine their current and emerging needs and it became clear that a powerful, reliable, and versatile real-time wear tester would be in huge demand,” comments Kito Tosetti, General Manager at ViVitro Labs. Responding to the needs of the industry is what inspired ViVitro Labs to develop the world’s first Pulse Duplicator, a testing device that is found in virtually every cardiovascular device research and development lab around the globe. Able to test multiple devices at one time, the ViVitro RWT is also able to accommodate larger devices that don’t fit in standard wear testers. “We built the ViVitro RWT to address the need for maximum control by the operator. From the temperature and pressure controls to input waveform and waveform downloading, I believe we’ve achieved that,” says Tosetti, “We’ve even optimized the visibility of the device during testing to facilitate photos and video”.
